Date Night Make Up

For date night make up i choose one feature i want to be the main feature and focus solely on that. For example i will do an intense pink or glittery eye and nude lip, Or red lip and natural shadows with a little shimmer.
My face base i tend to go for a full coverage, and deep contoured and highlighted look with sculpted out brows.

Heres a selection of my recent date night looks;

The base is the same on all of the looks its my go to glam/date night base;
I start by priming the skin with Mac Strobe Cream and Laura Mercer Foundation Primer
Onto my brows, so i draw them on using the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz
To sculpt my brows i use Mac Concealer In nw20 and go around my brows and with the excess i use to prime my lids. Then i go over and Colour Correct or Conceal.
Once thats all blending i go for the Seventeen Cream Bronzer and put in all the places where i want to bronze and contour, Then i apply my under eye highlight using the Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer.
Finally to blend the whole look together and to get the flawless look, i use Kiko Universal Foundation and using a beauty blender i blend over the highlight first then the dark shade. I blend until flawless. Looking back at my face i see if anything else needs to be added in if not i then set with some setting spray.

I set any problem areas and my under eye with Peaches & Cream Translucent powder as well as putting a wash of powder over my lids.
If I’m particular oily i will set my whole face with the Mac Mineralise Skin Finish first but i dont always do this step.

Using the Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit I then make my contour more intense until I’m happy with it and add some blusher usually The Body Shop 01 Blush. Then its time to make my face pop with some highlight, my go to is The Balm MarryLoumaniser Or The Carli Bybel Pallete.

Finally I spritz my face with a Setting Spray and its onto the eyes.

Depending on the look i will normally use the Carli Bybel Pallete, Or Morphe 350M to create a look then use a pigment to highlight my lid.
For lashes i always always always use the Primark Sultry these are my favourite lashes.
Then to line my lid i use the Seventeen Wet Look Eyeliner and i must say this is the best for doing liner the brush is so delicate and the formula stays bright once applied.

Then its onto the lips..
For Red lips my go to is the No.7 900 Or Mac Ruby Woo.
Nudes its the Primark Lifes A Beach Or Kiko 902 Lipstick.

Then I’m ready! I hope you enjoyed!

Top 5 Movies For Valentines Day

Valentines day could be the day that you and your loved one decide to just snuggle down and watch a cute romantic film and enjoy each others company.
Here is my list of top 5 favourite movies perfect for that valentines evening or just any evening to be honest.

Top Five;
Written, directed by, and starring Chris Rock, Top Five tells the story of New York City comedian-turned-film star Andre Allen, whose unexpected encounter with a journalist forces him to confront the comedy career-and the past-that he’s left behind.
Realsed 2014 – Staring Chris Rock, Rosario Dawson, Gabrielle Union.

Me Before You;
Lou Clark knows lots of things. She knows how many footsteps there are between the bus stop and home. She knows she likes working in The Buttered Bun tea shop and she knows she might not love her boyfriend Patrick. What Lou doesn’t know is she’s about to lose her job or that knowing what’s coming is what keeps her sane. Will Traynor knows his motorcycle accident took away his desire to live. He knows everything feels very small and rather joyless now and he knows exactly how he’s going to put a stop to that. What Will doesn’t know is that Lou is about to burst into his world in a riot of color. And neither of them knows they’re going to change each other for all time.A real tear – jerker movie this one.
Realsed 2016 – Staring Sam Clafin & Emilia Clarke

Notting Hill;
Every man’s dream comes true for William Thacker, an unsuccessful Notting Hill bookstore owner, when Anna Scott, the world’s most beautiful woman and best-liked actress, enters his shop. A little later, he still can’t believe it himself, William runs into her again – this time spilling orange juice over her. Anna accepts his offer to change in his nearby apartment, and thanks him with a kiss, which seems to surprise her even more than him. Eventually, Anna and William get to know each other better over the months, but being together with the world’s most wanted woman is not easy – neither around your closest friends, nor in front of the all-devouring press.
Realsed 1999 – Staring Julia Roberts & Hugh Grant

The Vow;
When Paige wakes from a coma following a car accident she has no memory at all of the last few years of her life nor of her loving husband Leo. She remembers living with her rich parents and has to choose between the life she knows – which includes a boyfriend – or getting to know her husband all over again.
Realsed 2012 – Staring Channing Tatum & Rachel McAdams.

Love, Rosie;
From the age of 5 Rosie Dunne and Alex Stewart have been best friends, as they take on life they just end up getting separated time and time again. When it comes to love it’s just everyone else but each other… But when will they realise they are meant to be together?
Realsed 2014 – Staring Sam Clafin & Lily Collins.

I hope you enjoy! Let me know if you decided to watch one or you’ve already seen any.

Date Night Ideas

Date Night;an arranged occasion on which an established couple go for a night out together.
Take one night a week for just you and your loved one and watch your relationship blossom.

Date nights dont have to be the most expensive lavish night filled with a 4 course meal including champagne. A date night it what you and your loved one enjoy, take it as a open card to do whatever you want for the night. It doesn’t have to be a cinematic experience just something personal between the pair of you. You’ll find yourself memorising the dates more if they’re what you love then if your more concentrating on ‘oh Sally from work does this and everyone in the office loved it’

Dinner & Cinema
The classic idea when anyone says ‘date night‘ this idea is bound to be one of the first that pop into your head.
Start by going for a meal somewhere of your choice from a 5 star restaurant, your favourite cafe or even a cheeky mc Donald’s. Some of my date nights have ended up in Subway simply because its mine and my partners favourite convent food and it works for us!
Followed by a movie, now its a rare chance that you’re actually both going to agree on a movie so you will either be dragged into a chick flick or a manly action film which can be a downside to this date idea and also for the duration of the film you can’t talk so if you want your night to be filled with long deep chats this might not be the best idea..

Head Out On A Road Trip
Pick a destination and have a drive, take in the scenes and just explore. This is brilliant as you’re in each others company the whole time where you can play some cheesy music, have some conversations where you discus everything you’ve ever wanted. It can be done in rain or sunshine because your in the warmth and comfort of your own car with heaters and window wipers. Grab a souvenir of a key chain or pin badge to remember your night. You can pull over to grab some restaurant food, or hit up the drive thru whatever takes your fancy.
To make it extra cheesy you could always take a drive down memory lane and re-vist some places you met, or show each other where you grew up.

Vist A Local Landmark
Weather its a massive park to go on a walk, a museum or a cool attraction go act like tourists in your hometown. Do all the things any new comer to the landmark would do, take a bunch of pictures and admire the view and take some time to be grateful for what you have.

Go to an adventure park
Ride a ferris wheel, roller coaster or play a round a mini golf. Play the arcades and win some fluffy bears.

Eat a desert only dinner
Indulge on dessert for dinner at a ice cream parlour.

Take a night off
Put on your comfy clothes, take your make up off put your hair up.Jump in a bubble bath together. Phones away grab a pizza and binge watch netflix or a tv series. Light some candles and chill.

Dine at home
One of you or the pair of you together re create your favourite dish that you enjoy at the resultant or something similar. Set the table nicely like if you were dinning out. Maybe even go the whole way and make a desert.

Re-Create your first date
Remember the fist time you had a date? or hung out? Re create that, rent the dvd you saw at the cinema. Go back to that restaurant or attraction. Even if the date ended in a fail its what started you love story so go re live that moment.

Book an event.
A Comedian, a gig a tour of somewhere. An event that you can attend together and enjoy.

Go for a long walk
On the beach, in the forrest or somewhere picture perfect.

Book a night away
Perfect for more rare date nights, book a night away in the city or somewhere on the coast.

These are just some ideas that i can think of its what suits you is best.
Where are your favourite places to go for a date?
Where was your worst date place you’ve ever been..

What I Done This Week..

A look back into my first full week of 2017. This week was a chill out week

Monday;
The day after New Years Day, we literally just spent the day relaxing watching some movies and doing nothing, it was bank holiday so there wasn’t much to do.

Tuesday;
I spent the day as a pamper day, i done my nails had the longest bath and then just chilled before settling down to watch the start of Celebrity Big Brother.

Wednesday;
Was the day i went to town to decide to spend some of my Christmas pennies, it was a cross of the left over boxing day sales and the January sales so i picked up some real good bargins.

Thursday;
We decided to walk off some of the Christmas food and took the pup for a really long walk down the country park.

Friday;
Another chilled day at home getting some blog posts ready and planning our trip to harry potter studios..

Saturday;
Football day, We nipped into town before heading off to the Ipswich Town Vs Lincoln City match.

Sunday;

How To Organise Your Blog

Everyone has there own methods and ways they like to feel organised when blogging, wether its writing draft blog posts, making lists, or jotting down ideas, i thought i would share with you my tips on how i keep myself and my posts organised.

Manage Your Ideas;
I have a note pad in which at the beginning of the month i write down a long list of ideas of blog posts that i think i want to do, i then divide up the blog posts equally so there isn’t all beauty one week and all lifestyle or other the next i like to do it so it varies so one day theres a beauty related post the next a lifestyle post ect..

Pictures;
I personally like to take my pictures in bulk, then i take all the pictures that i will need for each blog post and tick them off as i go along i take way more pictures then i need but i normally take around 5 blog posts worth of pictures in one go. These pictures will be used throughout my blog swell as social media.
Here is how i take my flat lay pictures.

Drafting;
Once the pictures are taken and i know what pictures i have to work with i start to draft out the post. I start by focusing on the main points i want to cover in the blog once i have all my ideas down i start to edit the post by taking one idea and turning it into content by explaining the idea or filling in facts.

Finishing Touches;
Once i have finished my draft copy i re read what i have written and correct myself on any mistakes. Then i add in the pictures and make the post look pretty by changing certain fonts or adding in headings ect.

Scheduling;
Personally i love the scheduling feature, with such a flexible and life in the moment life i have i like to have my post for the next one or two days already scheduled normally for sometime between 4-6 then no matter what may happen or where i may be at that moment my blog will go live and there will be a post go up. Its only on a very rare occasion that i write a post and it goes up that same day. I like to have my posts for the week planned and ready. I think if i couldn’t schedule my posts i would feel a lot more stressed, i like to see my posts ready and planned.
If you prefer to have this in written format there is so many cool free printable weekly planners that are available to download and fill in.

Do What Suits You;
Just because this is how i keep myself organised it does mean its going to work for you, just because another bloggers told you thats how they keep themselves organised doesn’t mean its going to work for them. The only way that will truly work is the routine you will find yourself doing naturally.
Wether you write your ideas down on your phone, on paper or somewhere else it doesn’t matter. Organising is personal to each person.
